Welcome to Wanish

Wanish is a hobby project I sketched in October 2021, as a reaction to the way I experienced my city (Zürich, Switzerland) before, during, and in the waning stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

I later launched it on November 8th, 2021.

Origin of the Idea

The COVID-19 lockdown period afforded me the opportunity to witness Zürich without people.

Post-lockdown, I realized during a walk in the city that it should be also possible to achieve this visual experience during normal times.

Support the Project

I am currently maintaining and developing Wanish in my spare time. The backend runs on a machine in my living room, and all costs related to the frontend (including hosting this website) are paid for with my coffee funds. If you'd like to help, please feel free to make a donation!

Plans for the Future

Time permitting, I would like Wanish to grow and become successful.
